October 2006 Letter
It is hard to believe that two years have passed since our group of investment professionals formed Covington Capital Management. Our mission is to provide unbiased high-quality investment management with competitive returns adjusted for the risk appropriate for each client. We further believe that a high level of communication and service is an important part of each relationship. As a result of working closely with our clients and referral sources, they have been most helpful in generating new clients. We appreciate their help.
Covington now has over $700 million in assets under management, serving individuals, families, and institutional clients, including foundations, endowments, and retirement funds. As we have grown, so has our family of employees. We have added portfolio managers, senior management, and administrative support in order to provide a high level of service to our clients.
We have had positive responses to our quarterly letters and believe the enclosed "Investment Potpourri" material will touch on many subjects of current interest and concern.
As we move toward year-end, we wish all of you a healthy and joyous Thanksgiving and Holiday Season.
