David L. Swartz, CPA
David L. Swartz is a recently retired partner of J.H. Cohn, LLP. Mr. Swartz has more than thirty-five years of experience providing business advisory services to clients in several industries, including manufacturing, wholesale, retail, entertainment, real estate and professional services.
Mr. Swartz's professional experience includes acquisitions, merger transactions, and business valuations. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Westfield, Inc. from 1988 to 1990. From 1968 to 1988, Mr. Swartz was a Managing Partner of BDO Seidman and a member of the firm's national board. He has been Director at RadNet, Inc. since 2004 and its Lead Independent Director since 2011.
Mr. Swartz was Treasurer of the Los Angeles chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was President of the Jewish Big Brothers of Los Angeles and Chairman of the Jewish Home for the Aging. He is an Appointee to the California Board of Accountancy and served as its President. He serves on the boards of several other charitable foundations. He is a Member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Swartz earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from California State University, Northridge.
The Advisory Board offers advice and guidance to the principals of Covington Capital Management to further the success of the Firm. In addition, it is anticipated that the Board will provide opportunistic wealth management and philanthropic introductions. The Board will assist in building the Covington brand.
