Robert M. Raney, CFA
Bob was a founder of Covington and formerly the firm’s Chief Investment Officer. With over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, he previously served for 17 years as Chief Investment Officer at U.S. Trust Company, West Coast.
Bob graduated from Stanford University with a BA in History and received his MBA in Finance from UCLA. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
Bob is a Trustee of the Autry National Center.
What is the CFA?
A professional designation awarded by the CFA Institute (formerly AIMR) to investment and financial professionals after demonstrating competence and integrity of financial analysis. Candidates are required to pass three levels of exams covering areas such as accounting, economics, ethics, money management and security analysis. Before becoming a CFA charterholder, you must have four years of qualified investment/financial career experience.
