Phong Luu, CFA
Phong joined Covington in 2006 from U.S. Trust Company, N.A. and has over 15 years of experience in the investment management industry. He focuses on fixed income and asset allocation strategies.
Phong graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a BS in Business Administration and received his MBA in Finance from the University of California, Irvine. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles and the CFA Institute.
Phong is a board member for the Council on Aging, Orange County and serves as a mentor for students at the Paul Merage School of Business.
What is the CFA?
A professional designation awarded by the CFA Institute (formerly AIMR) to investment and financial professionals after demonstrating competence and integrity of financial analysis. Candidates are required to pass three levels of exams covering areas such as accounting, economics, ethics, money management and security analysis. Before becoming a CFA charterholder, you must have four years of qualified investment/financial career experience.
