A career banker for more than four decades, Pete played a pivotal role in the remarkable growth and performance of Los Angeles-based Mellon 1st Business Bank, one of the most successful independent banks in California. Along with his three-co- founders, Pete spearheaded Mellon 1st Business Bank toward more than $3 billion dollars in assets.
In addition, Pete, a native of Heidelberg, Germany, achieved a sterling reputation in international finance and business development especially between Europe and the U.S. According to his business colleagues and friends, he has that rare combination of business acumen and people skills. Plus, his integrity and drive never fail to produce measurable results.
At the same time, Pete has pursued a number of philanthropic and cultural interests.
Pete was a board member of the Professions and Finance Associates for the City of Hope, Orange County Chapter. He was also a member of Los Angeles Rotary #5, and served as Chairman of the German-American Chamber of Commerce in Los Angeles.
He is also a member of the Heidelberg Club International - L.A. Chapter and a Member of the Board of the Los Angeles-Berlin Sister City Committee.
The Advisory Board offers advice and guidance to the principals of Covington Capital Management to further the success of the Firm. In addition, it is anticipated that the Board will provide opportunistic wealth management and philanthropic introductions. The Board will assist in building the Covington brand.
